Who we are

Taste Studio was founded in 2024 by Paige Rubin and James Morua, two vintage veterans with a combined 20 years of experience in the industry. Paige began her career as a vintage handbag & fashion buyer, known for her eye for the rare and remarkable, with extensive experience sourcing the world’s most exceptional pieces in cities such as Tokyo, Hong Kong, Paris, Milan, Amsterdam, and more. Prior to Taste, she held the post of Head of Sale for the Handbags & Accessories department at Christie’s, curating auctions of the most exquisite luxury handbags in the world. She is regarded as an expert in fashion history and sociology, and is regularly called upon to provide historical context for trends for fashion publications, such as The New York Times, NY Mag’s The Cut, and Teen Vogue. 
James is a vintage expert and fashion curator based in Los Angeles. For over a decade, he worked at celebrity-favorite vintage destination What Goes Around Comes Around. There, he served as their Head of VIP Services, trusted as an expert by top clients and stylists in the industry, helping fashion’s most discerning collectors build their personal archives. Highly regarded for his expertise, he also curated ready-to-wear collections for WGACA’s boutiques, and served as creative director for their editorial content.
